This is the time of year we focus on goal setting and making plans. With this focus it becomes easy to miss the precious moments. We have captured a life of precious moments with our Around Town Roswell 2009 Tournament of Roses winners, Mary and Gerald Powell. The couple recently celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on June 9. Read their love story on pages 14 and 15.

In this issue, you will also find the nomination form for the Best of the Best businesses in Roswell. It is an adventure operating a business, something like riding a roller coaster. The life of your business is based on your customers’ perceptions of how well you deliver the service or product you present. With the 2009 Around Town Roswell’s Readers’ Choice Awards, you, as the community of Roswell, have an opportunity to let your voice be heard in selecting and celebrating the best of the best businesses in your area. Your opinion as the customer is really the only one that counts. Turn to pages 24 and 25 to nominate your favorites.

You have some great looking kids! Check them out on pages 32 — 36 and you will see images from our local elementary, middle and high schools. Our schools continue to be the center of our communities and our kids are our hope, so don’t miss Chrysalis Experiential Academy on the cover this month. We have found that Chrysalis is a school where students can discover their unique purpose and vision. You can find their story on pages 16 and 17.

As we enter 2009, we will be looking for dreams fulfilled and for moments to celebrate in the community of Roswell. We will capture these dreams and moments in pictures and in words and we encourage you to participate with us. After all, it is your life and your community that you will see reflected in Around Town Roswell.
